Walking On Salad

about

I've been learning about all the amazing, delicious, and super healthy things can eat right in my own front yard! Try it out!

lyrics

One day I finally realized I was walking on salad.
With miles of clover, a feast for the eyes, so I wrote this love ballad.
Called walking on salad.

That day I had a real surprise, I was growing my palate.
"Enough purslane for all," the Bachelor's Buttons call
you to sing this fresh ballad.
Called walking on salad.

When every dandelion tells you, "Come and play!"
Don't let those stinging nettles get in your way.
There's a plantain carpet all the way.
Walking on salad!
You may even find a wild shallot.

One day I finally gave into the call, there is food all over this planet!
You can start right here in your own front yard.
Dig in if you can stand it.
You are walking on salad.

Now I have seen those other lawns where the poison runs rampant.
So I haven't seen any morels there yet,
'guess the city has not banned it.
This is not how God had planned it.

It tastes like heaven and would you believe,
that the things I love have been called weeds.

When every dandelion tells you, "Come and play!"
Don't let those stinging nettles get in your way.
There's a plantain carpet all the way.
Walking on salad!

One day I hope you will come along and help to write this ballad.
There are many ways to sing this song.
Start right where you are planted.
You may even find a wild shallot.
